H. Kelleher Scholarship
Helping Youth
About the scholarship
Each year, Merit Resource Services offers scholarships to Central Washington high school seniors that are planning to attend college or trade school after high school. This year, for 2024 we will be offering five $1,000 scholarships, Yakima, Benton- Franklin, and Kittitas Counties. The scholarship is in memory of Howard Kelleher, who passed away in 2005 at the age of 98. Howard was a long-time recovering alcoholic who tried to help others get sober. He was one of the original founders of Merit Resource Services as well as a founder of Sundown M. Ranch and Triumph Treatment Services. Please see your school counselor to get an application.
